Course Objectives The purpose of this course is to provide students with the introductory level principles, mechanisms, and methodology of biological sciences with special emphasis on molecular and cellular aspects of living systems.
Textbook Biology, Concepts and Connections, Campbell-Reece-Taylor-Simon, 2011, Pearson, 7th Edition.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Explain the principles of scientific methodology.
  2. Define biological terms and explain associated mechanisms using these terms.
  3. Communicate biological concepts clearly and accurately.
  4. Explain biology as a creative activity in variety of research and application fields.
