Software Engineering

Dear students,

I welcome you to the Software Engineering (SE) study program.

Software engineers are required to understand the requirements to design, develop, implement, and maintain the software. Our program is designed in a way that, every semester, step-by-step, you will develop these software development skills.

To become a good software engineer in this competitive world, you should continuously develop your skill set ensuring that you stay on top of new developments and products that can aid your work. Be curious and always seek for opportunities to improve yourself. At IUS, we offer you continuously improved curriculum by following the latest trends, project-based courses that will improve your practical skills, flexibility to take courses from a wide range of electives and many more.

During your studies, you will take lots of courses on programming, software development and computer systems. However, software engineering is not just writing a code, it also requires developing social skills. You will be part of (or leading) software development projects, implementation of digital transformation projects, which requires being a good team player.

It is important that you understand the customer needs: how to solve their problems, how to increase their experiences. This requires good problem-solving and communication skills. During your studies, you will take many courses to develop these soft-skills. In addition to courses like Project Management or Effective Communication, you will be working on team projects which are a great practice for your future career.
